The East Norfolk Operatic Society was formed
in 1959 based in
Wroxham, Norfolk, UK and has concentrated mainly on the annual Spring
production of a Gilbert and Sullivan opera. Over these years, all the
operas have been performed at least once (Utopia Ltd) with the Mikado
having been produced six times. The exception is, of course, Thespis,
where most of the original material has been lost.

For the 2005 production, we moved our
performances to The
Maddermarket Theatre,
in Norwich,
which has given us the benefit of the larger audience base of a medium
sized English city and the established environment of a professional
theatre which has a comfortable lounge/bar area and a proven publicity
machine. The productions since then have all been very successful and
well received.
