Summer Concerts
We performed two concerts over
the summer period, one in Martham Church near Great Yarmouth and the
other in our local church in Wroxham in aid of the Wroxham, Hoveton and
Belaugh Town Twinning Association. Both of these concerts were well
received with the Wroxham one earning both us and the Twinning
Association a worthwhile sum for funds.
During the first week of August we had the first of our 50th
Anniversary outings with a trip on the Southern Comfort Mississippi
Paddle Boat on the Broads at Horning before taking a break for the rest
of August.

2009

2009
sees the 50th
anniversary of the East Norfolk Operatic Society. The occasion will be
marked by a production of The Mikado, as that was the Society's first
show in 1959 and a series of concerts and events during the year. The
stage director will be Margaret Collingwood and the auditions will be held on September 28th. The audition information is available here. More
information will be here as and when such arrangements are made.
We are looking for more singers, especially men. If you fancy being part of this production then contact us.
On July 11th 2009 we will perform a concert
in The Maddermarket Theatre as a round up of our 50th anniversary
celebrations. We are intended that this concert is recorded.
